The Millennium Challenge Account–Indonesia II (MCA Indonesia II), acting on behalf of the Government of Indonesia with support from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), is implementing the MSME Finance Project under the Indonesia Infrastructure and Finance Compact. The project aims to address structural constraints that limit MSME access to finance by establishing an integrated ecosystem that links MSME capacity building, financial sector strengthening, and market creation.
Job description
GFA Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader to provide overall technical, managerial and strategic leadership for the implementation of the assignment.
The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall management, coordination and quality assurance of project implementation.
Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Providing overall strategic, technical and operational leadership;
- Coordinating project activities and ensuring coherent implementation across all workstreams;
- Leading and supervising the project team and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of outputs;
- Coordinating activities related to MSME finance, digital and financial literacy, MSME capacity enhancement and government MSME data;
- Maintaining effective cooperation with the client, government institutions, MSMEs and other relevant stakeholders;
- Overseeing work planning, progress monitoring, reporting, risk management and quality assurance;
- Ensuring that the needs and participation of women-owned MSMEs are appropriately reflected in project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with MCC, MCA-Indonesia II, and GFA Consulting Group requirements
Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- An advanced university degree in finance, economics, business administration, development studies or another relevant field;
- Longstanding experience in the management of complex technical assistance or development projects;
- Strong professional experience in MSME finance, access to finance, financial inclusion or MSME development;
- Broad experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple project components;
- Strong understanding of MSME capacity development, digital and financial literacy and access-to-finance approaches;
- Experience working with government institutions, financial-sector stakeholders, MSMEs and other relevant partners;
- Strong skills in project planning, results monitoring, reporting and quality assurance;
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in Indonesia highly preferred
- Fluency in English required
