This opportunity is still at prequalification stage so the following information is indicative. The dates are also estimates based on the deadlines and duration of procedures typically set by the EU Contracting Authorities (ToR not available till tender stage):
Provision of technical assistance to strengthen the EU's engagement with civil society actors, with a focus on developing capacities and synergies to effectively integrate civil society into the rollout of Global Gateway initiatives in Nepal.
In addition, this service will support the implementation of the Gender Action Plan and the EU's engagement with youth, including the support to the EU Nepal Youth Sounding Board.
The tasks will include analytical studies and policy analysis, monitoring and evlauation, capacity development, organization of conferences, trainings and facilitation of dialogues, management of the Youth Sounding Board.

Requirements

Qualifications and skills required:
- Master’s degree level preferably in social sciences or alternatively relevant professional experience of min. 10 years.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, including monitoring, evaluation and learning, writing and presentation skills.
- Gender and training expertise.
- Team management competence, e.g. good interpersonal, dialogue / facilitation skills.
General professional experience:
- At least 10 years of general professional experience related to the assignment.
- Knowledge and experience working with EU institutions on development cooperation would be an asset.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing teams on technical assistance projects/programmes.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as a team-player, leading and motivating the team of experts.
- Project experience where strong analytical skills, strategic vision / planning skills, and a solution and service-oriented approach are required.
Specific professional experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the management and evaluation of (youth) civil society programmes, civil society capacity building and gender equality in programmes.
- Knowledge of Rights-based Approach methodology and participatory techniques, alternative design and innovative methodologies in evaluations would be an asset.
- Experience in managing or designing communication strategies and producing high quality communication content.
- Previous experience in Nepal would be an asset.
Language skills: Excellent English both written and oralAdditional information
To be confirmed whether this will be a full-time incountry position or home-based with frequent missions to Nepal.
