Our Offer
Through the international market ramp-up programme H2Uppp, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) supports the entrepreneurial drive and project development crucial to the global scaling of hydrogen markets. In doing so, the BMWE fosters investment and propels the global hydrogen economy. We work with companies that are pioneers in testing new business models, developing forward-looking projects and open up new markets, in particular, via public-private cooperation projects (PPP projects). With this internship, you extend your insights into the dynamics of hydrogen/PtX markets and connect with experts within GIZ and partners.
Your tasks
As part of the internship, you will take on the following tasks:
- You will proactively contribute to the successful delivery and implementation of project with a special focus on cooperation projects with the private sector.
- You will support the implementation of the call for public-private cooperation projects (PPPs) and analyse submitted PPP projects.
- You will contribute to the learning and knowledge transfer as well as to an ongoing evaluation of the H2Uppp program.
- You will support the team in providing advice to BMWE and private sector stakeholders on issues relating to the global hydrogen market ramp-up and hydrogen/PtX project approaches.
- You will support advising the project's country teams.
- You will support quality control and provide inputs to communication products.
- You will support our communication efforts in H2Uppp (e. g. website management, social media).
- You will actively contribute to the successful implementation of internal and external workshops, webinars and other events.
- You will support the day-to-day operations and project management.
Your Profile
- Basic understanding and interest in the topics of renewable energy and green hydrogen, international cooperation and sustainability (initial work experiences are an advantage)
- Ongoing university studies, e. g. in the field of (industrial) engineering, business administration or another relevant field
- Strong written communication skills, analytical thinking and ability to work in a structured manner and ability to translate complex topics into simple language
- Good self-organisation, flexibility and strong initiative
- Business fluent in German and English; fluency in French or Spanish is an advantage
- Good MS Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams), experience in managing website backends is an asset
